telecompaper

SanDisk has acquired a stake in Altair Semiconductor, a developer of LTE chipsets. SanDisk’s investment through SanDisk Ventures will help the company further develop the integration of flash storage in LTE devices, supporting the ‘Internet of Things’. Altair’s low-power LTE chipsets enable a broad range of consumer and IoT devices to connect to each other as well as to the cloud. Over 30 connected device manufacturers use Altair chips to power millions of end-user devices deployed commercially on LTE networks around the world. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
