The HP Chromebook 11 with LTE is already available on Best Buy at a price tag of $379. Although the price tag is $100 higher than the Wi-Fi model of the device, a rebate of $50 is available to users when they activate the service covered by Verizon Wireless.
Despite is availability on Best Buy, HP and Google have not made any official announcement on the availability of the device. The detailed information of the device was taken from the product listing of Best Buy. Altair Semiconductor also revealed some details of the device through a press release.
The 11.6-inch IPS display of the HP Chromebook 11 with LTE features a 1366 x 708 pixel resolution. The device also offers the dual-core Exynos processor from Samsung, 2GB RAM and 16GB SSD. Similar to the Wi-Fi model, the LTE model is also offered on a white body with blue-colored accents.
Although the battery life and power of the device may require enhancements, it can easily connect into the internet and is lightweight.
However, the device operates in areas covered by 4G LTE connections, which means it cannot use 3G connectivity when the faster online coverage is unavailable. The device is the first Chromebook that offers 4G connectivity.
It is also considered to be the Chromebook featuring mobile broadband connection. The Chromebook Pixel features LTE connectivity, but it is currently unavailable on the website of Google. Although the Chromebook offered by Samsung offers a 3G connectivity option and features 100MB of data for each month, it is no longer offered by major device retailers.
Even as the release date of the HP Chromebook 11 remains, it is expected to become available online in the near future.
